Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Office (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the Chief Commercial Officer and her direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy.
As part of the Global Commercial Services (GCS) Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst – Investment Optimization, will focus on decision support and planning for GCS Marketing investments. The incumbent will support a plan to collect, analyse, prioritise and make recommendations on the best investments to fund for international markets. In addition to supporting the IO function, there will be a huge focus on driving innovation in how we measure, examine, model and track investment returns. Ability to communicate effectively and partner with multiple stakeholders will be key for success in this role.
This is a high-visibility role with frequent exposure to senior leaders in the GCS Business and Finance organizations.
- Detailed knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques, with experience in cash flow/NPV modelling preferred
- Strong collaboration skills across a wide network of matrix relationships, as well as ability to communicate effectively to fit a variety of audiences
- Superior ability to work and analyze data. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to understand complex models and create business insights
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to run large, multi-faceted processes end-to-end
- Investment analysis experience and TM1 expertise are preferred
- Prior experience in the Card Issuer space is a plus
