Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent Early Childhood–Grade 12 Quaker school for girls in Providence, Rhode Island. We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate supports all aspects of marketing and communications, with a special focus on storytelling, engagement and project management.
This 12-month, full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and innovative professional with strong communication and project management skills who enjoys being a connector—of dots, of people, of possibilities. The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to build brand recognition, engagement, and loyalty through storytelling and experiential marketing, leveraging a broad range of skills with a high degree of initiative managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position collaborates closely with Admission, Advancement, Athletics, Equity, Inclusion & Community, and the four Divisions.

Description of responsibilities
●Become immersed in the fast-paced, innovative school community; identify and amplify the stories of its various members—students, parents and families, alumnae, faculty and staff, trustees, and friends—and the institution as a whole.
●Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines for events/campaigns and ensure alignment between the events calendar and the annual content calendar.
▪Assist in maintaining and developing content to support the annual content calendar, including written, photo, and video content for web, emails, newsletters, blog posts, social media, videos and other communications vehicles.
▪Oversee and manage social media accounts with ongoing, consistent content and engagement. Manage user-generated content and respond to comments across all our platforms.
▪Participate in the implementation of the communications and marketing plans for a wide variety of events and initiatives.
▪Writing, editing, and sending emails to as few as two and as many as 10,000 recipients.
▪Maintain database of ad creatives and assist in trafficking a variety of ads across channels.
▪Organize and manage media library for use in marketing and communications projects.
▪Monitor, respond to, and report on analytics across channels and platforms and contribute to development of monthly digital marketing reports.
▪Assist in maintaining marketing communications systems and propose process improvements.
▪Support web development and maintenance, PPC, and SEO efforts.
▪Daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s initiatives, including paid, earned, and owned media platforms and a variety of collateral projects. Prepare expense reports and assist with other documentation as needed.
▪Other duties as assigned. Occasional night and weekend hours will be required.
Skills and competencies
▪Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills are essential, with a talent for storytelling being key.
▪Strong interpersonal skills, ability to make people feel valued and motivated while accomplishing difficult tasks. Flexibility in the face of rapid change.
▪Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple and competing priorities and meet deadlines.
▪Understanding of digital marketing principles and an interest in continued on-the-job learning.
▪Ability to understand and interpret data related to marketing, communications, and advertising.
▪Knowledge of current technology as related to marketing and social media trends and the ability and desire to learn emerging technologies is critical.
▪Public speaking skills and comfortable working with groups, small and large.
▪Experience and comfort with G Suite, Excel, and the top social media platforms is essential; familiarity with a social media scheduler, Ads Manager (Facebook, Spotify, Google, TikTok, etc.), a CMS, Google Analytics, Adobe CS, and HTML/CSS is highly desired.
▪A positive attitude with a willingness to laugh and collaborate with a dedicated team.
▪Experience in education preferred, particularly in educational marketing or admission.
