The American Academy of Pediatrics is seeking a Project Coordinator, State and Federal Advocacy in our Washington, DC office. This one year, grant-funded position will provide administrative and project support for federal and state advocacy grant programs and other assigned grant activities, including coordinating virtual and in-person meeting logistics, preparing meeting agendas, various correspondence, and grant reports, and assisting the Director, Federal Advocacy with project coordination and materials.
Seeking an individual with at least one year general related administrative or office support experience, including drafting correspondence and meeting planning. An individual who is familiar with health care policy and has experience in project management and working in a legislative or advocacy environment is highly desirable. Experience with virtual meeting software and teleconference technology is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, public health, business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience is required.
