Alabama A&M University and partner Straight to Ale brewing have announced the re-launch of Alma Mater - the popular AAMU-inspired brew this weekend. In time for Homecoming 2023, fans can once again enjoy Alma Mater at Louis Crews Stadium as well as several local locations. Named by AAMU students and originally released in 2021, the Alma Mater brand returns after much demand.

Alma Mater will be available at the following locations beginning Friday, September 29:

  • Catch 25
  • Das Stahl Bierhaus
  • Hampton Cove Windmill
  • Liquor Express
  • Liquor Express (Madison)
  • The Open Bottle
  • OTBX (Old Town Beer Exchange)
  • Madison Taproom
  • R&R Liquor and Fine Wines (Tony)

“We hear about this brand all the time,” said Matthew Cooper, North Alabama Account Manager for Straight to Ale. “The enthusiasm around the original release of Alma Mater was off the charts. So, we’re extremely excited to relaunch the beer for AAMU alumni and fans.”

More locations will carry the brand soon.
