I was raised and grew up in the United Methodist Church. While I do proudly embrace my background and personal history within the United Methodist Church, I do feel that ultimately what is important is not the denomination that you are a part of. What matters most is the relationship that you have with the Lord. Part and parcel to any relationship is the level of commitment that one makes to it. With any and all relationships they are going to take time to grow. Through the years, if I were to describe my relationship with the Lord using one word it would be “transformation.” Continuing to grow daily in my walk with the Lord, and as well continue to display the fruits of his Spirit daily is for me what my life is all about. Thanks for telling us more about this book and its author. I read some articles and reviews and was ready to read Just A Closer Walk on Kindle, but something always stopped me from doing it. Maybe the time is now. I just finished reading the current book and chose the next one. So, maybe I will read Just A Closer Walk after it. I want to read The House on Mango Street. Have you read it? I would recommend you to go here https://edubirdie.com/examples/the-house-o... just to recall or to read about that novel. Those essay examples told me more about the novel, and it is an even more expected story to read now. I am really excited to explore racial and gender stereotypes through literature, so I am pretty sure that the story from Alan T. Black will educate me more.
